This bold, intuitive abstract by Debbi Smith Rourke was painted just weeks before her fourth and fifth grandchildren were born. The artist felt a powerful, excited energy flood her with anticipation, joy, seemingly directing her marks and color choices until a tunnel appeared through which powerful life energy was emanating. She could feel an intense energy powerful desire to arrive on the scene with a creative love. Interesting textures and movement were created with palette knife and brushwork.
