This contemporary work of fine art by accomplished artist Diane Williams was created using acrylic and gold pigment on a stretched canvas built with custom stretcher bars. China Pattern #1 is part of her Spiritual Resonance series. Williams explains:

“Chinese Literati painters felt a strong connection with expressing the rhythms of nature rather than a literal interpretation of it. This notion paralleled my fascination with China porcelain paintings. I began a reinterpretation of the China patterns I had loved as a child, focusing on the decorative aspect of color and pattern combined with my love of abstract expressionism.”
