Description

Light Study #1 a loosely painted, original oil painting by Austin artist Debbi Smith Rourke. This small work set the tone for her “Light Touches Earth” series.

Light Study #1 was painted on loose canvas then mounted on a 5 x 7 inch panel, then set in a gold-leaf frame with a linen liner. Finished frame size is 11.25 x 13 inches.

The artist used a warm palette with pops of cool greens (reminiscent of J.M.W. Turner), along with both brushwork and palette knife applications.

Light Study #1 arrives ready to hang.
