We are thrilled to include Liftoff by acclaimed Maine artist Karen Jelenfy to our May Mothers Collection. Liftoff is an engaging and mystifying work of oil and wood on unstretched canvas and ships in a heavy tube right to your door.

Karen Jelenfy is an abstract painter, teacher, arts administrator curator, art critic and poet. While she earned her MFA from San Francisco Art Institute in 1990, Jelenfy now resides in Maine. She states, “The environment around me, country or city, is my primary inspiration. Currently I am painting on the coast of Maine. Those colors and textures are my major source material. With these, I tell stories that meld together memories, social concerns and local observation.”
