Description

Hiraeth is a haunting yet welcoming abstract-expressive work by Arizona artist Rebecca Sobin. Hiraeth is Welsh for a spiritual longing for a home, possibly one that never existed. This emotive painting with cool blues and lots of contrast works well in residential, commercial or hospitality settings designed in either classic or modern decor.

Sobin is an intuitive painter. Color and form develop through
improvisational wandering — a place, an emotion, an act of creation in a dream state all inform the texture, light and gesture of her works.
