“As an abstract and gestural painter, my painting is a journey of self-discovery and a search for authenticity in artistic creation. My process involves my whole being, emotional, intellectual and physical. It reflects my life experiences, visions and responses to life. I do not begin my paintings with a preconceived plan or idea, but rather allow my subconscious to guide the process and establish the rhythm, harmony and balance. I’m especially committed to the search for simplicity and honesty in my art, and for that gesture, line and color that would best express my inner world.” – Vera Tchikovani
