Lotus Rings (diptych)

Cradled wood panel

Description

The origins of Lotus Rings harken back to when Williams was an exchange student in Hangzhou China, and was fascinated by the lotus flower. The lotus is a sacred flower; a symbol of beauty, purity, rebirth and spiritual awakening. Its seeds may remain viable for may years in the mud beneath the water. The flower breaks the surface of the water each morning, then recedes beneath the water each evening as the sun sinks below the horizon.

Lotus Rings diptych consists of two custom wooden panels with painted 2-inch wooden edges that present beautifully unframed, though can be easily framed.
