Description

This impressive work of fine art by accomplished artist Diane Williams was created using acrylic, rust and handmade ink on a stretched canvas built with custom stretcher bars. Sashiko diptych is part of her Spiritual Resonance series. Williams explains:

“This painting reminds me of the Japanese fabric called Sashiko. Tiny embroidery threads were used to strengthen the fabric and to add a beautiful decorative element. I used handmade ink and rust to weave the paint into tiny dress-shaped garments, then embellished them with large flowers.”

With 2” painted gallery-wrapped edges, the tasteful Sashiko diptych is wired, ready to hang and will make a dramatic yet ethereal statement in your home or office.
