Description

Entering the Light is an original painting of abstractionism by Austin artist Debbi Smith Rourke and is part of her “Light Touches Earth” series. This is the artist’s vision of being in the presence of Divine Light. The swirling shapes and warm palette of rusty reds, orange and yellow together create an emerging vortex of light that seems to sweep up the viewer into a type of ecstasy.

Entering the Light is painted in oil on a gallery-wrapped canvas.  The artist used both brushwork and palette knife applications to create interesting texture and movement.
