Four Crosshatch Cherubs, by New Orleans artist Chuck Benson, is a composite work featuring the heads of four cherub sculptures (from a courtyard in a New Orleans French Quarter), all printed on phonebook pages. Benson’s colorful photo-painting collages feature high-contrast photos printed on recyclable papers, mounted on canvas then painted with acrylics.

Four Crosshatch Cherubs has a multicolor crosshatch design over the images using different vibrant colors — a signature technique of “Bensonola” works.
