Web in the Fall
1 in stock
Web in the Fall is a small, 12×12” square, acrylic painting by Austin-based Beatrice Baldwin — another of her faux-stained glass paintings.
Spider webs are one of nature’s truly beautiful designs. Baldwin’s Web in the Fall uses swooping black lines that curve to create an orb web woven among red, orange and yellow leaves. Gentle droplets from a recent rain cling momentarily to the silken strands.
Stylistically, this artwork suggests the specialized glass Louis Comfort Tiffany’s workshop created for his astonishing stained glass landscapes, a treatment characteristic of many of Baldwin’s works.
Web in the Fall acrylic-on-canvas artwork has painted gallery-wrapped edges so it does not need to be framed, though it can easily be framed. This painting is wired and ready to hang.
