Description

This abstract was part of Debbi’s collaboration with Austin photographer Jack Marshall and his image of Moraine Lake in Canada. While it is obviously an abstracted work, elements of representation are still captured. This color palette is a favorite of Debbi’s –as is the use of both palette knife application and brushwork to create a variety of textures. This was painted “ala prima,” or wet-on-wet in one setting.

Moraine Lake has painted 1.5” gallery-wrapped edges, so no framing is needed. This creates a lovely contemporary presentation.
